Kent Pleased Provincial Funding Will Allow Company to Reduce Carbon Footprint
July 15, 2010

(Eastern Passage, NS) – NDP MLA Becky Kent is pleased that CADtech Innovations Inc. of Eastern Passage will receive $41,200 from the ecoNova Scotia Fund for Clean Air and Climate Change to help reduce greenhouse gases and air pollutants.

“Our government is working to create a cleaner, healthier future for families,” said Kent. “Nova Scotia is a leader in the fight against climate change, and part of our strategy is working with organizations at the local level to help them reduce their carbon footprints. That’s exactly what this investment will do.”

With this funding Cadtech Innovations will improve the technology used in its industrial pumping systems to substantially increase efficiency, and as a result save energy.

Earlier today at the Lafarge cement plant in Brookfield, Environment Minister Sterling Belliveau announced that 10 projects across Nova Scotia had received over $2.4 million from the ecoNova Scotia Fund for Clean Air and Climate Change.
